Kashmir: A Graveyard of Freedom Fighters
Kashmir
is stigma on the face of humanity for brutality and cruelty. The freedom
fighters are begging for life owing to averse and harsh malpractices adopted by
Indian armed forces. The scores of civilians lost their lives in these
skirmishes to get the right of ‘self determination’, yet there is not any silver
lining to light the fire of freedom. These injustices and killings of civilians
by pellet guns become norm of day for kashmiris. Various historical accounts
gave currency to this fact that hardly any demonstrator left to meet with the
destiny of funeral. The recent uprising is outcome of killing of Burhan Wani,
freedom fighter, to raise the voice against the Indian aggression and
oppression.
The resentment
of demonstrators against Indian tyranny and state terrorism is rampant these
days and so do the gross violation of human rights on the soil of Kashmir
valley. The jingoism of India pervades into the swaths of South Asia and west,
alike. The situation has aggravated manifold due to media hype for ultra-
nationalist policies of Indian Army to make KASHMIR AS INTERGAL PART OF INDIA. Though,
India is representing as the world largest free-market democracy. Yet, New
Delhi is unable to comprehend the mechanics of democracy for Kashmir to follow
it in letter and spirit.
The picture
is very grim in Kashmir where, access to telecommunications is strict under the
whims of authorities. Not only this, daily curfews enforced by armed forces are
themselves immune from prosecutions. But also, mainstream political parties are
vouchsafing the interests of pro-Indian collaborators. Thus, separatists are out
casted from the political affairs to address their grievances and unable to represent
the will of people.
The
need of hour is to unleash manipulated information and reveal the true picture
of India for committing horrifying atrocities for the attention of world. The international
community must not keep mum to turn blind eye against the monstrous role
playing by India to perturb world peace. India is clipping the wings of
demonstrators by censoring the right of freedom of speech; forced occupation and
military might. The world community must play constructive and instrumental
role for the freedom of Kashmir, before it’s too late. Is there anyone really listening
for the due care of kashmiris ?
