Discord of Land & Settlements Among Israel & Palestine

Abstract: Need role to play by 'International Vanguards 'to redress their actions and for the protection of rights of Palestine for the settlements and land.



The upsurge of movement of Zionism – movement for the separate homeland for the Jews according to Biblical revelation- ignited the fire from backdrop of ‘Holocaust’ witnessed by ideologist of Judaism in Europe. This movement has watershed effects on the globe thrusting them to flee from European countries in search of new separate homeland to steer their ships towards new destination. As per the revelation of their sacred treaties, they uphold their feet on the land of Jerusalem, land of Palestine. The first mayhem bulged out because Jerusalem is the center of globe and consider as ‘revered’ and place of pilgrimage & worship by Christian, Jews and Muslims. 

  
The event of ‘Holocaust’ gave wings to Jews to search a piece of land, to practice their beliefs and rituals in practice. Therefore, they started their ‘settlements’ there and initiated the new civilization. However, Israel got there due part “legitimately” owing to British policies referred for arbitration in the ‘league of nation’ due to British colonist rule at that era. This decision after the WWII in 1945 send to UNO, who announced its verdict and divide the land of Palestine into 50:50 for the people of Palestine and Israel , respectively. Nevertheless, the people of Israel’s were only 34% in population at the time of announcement of ‘Israel’ as a new country for the Jews on 14 May, 1948. On the map of world, Only Israel and Pakistan touchstone is based on religious doctrine.


The announcement of separate homeland – Israel- for Jews added fuel to the fire for the people of Palestine , they rejected the division of land and establishment of Israel out rightly. The people of Israel are still in motion to make new settlements even violating the UNO decree. Due to illicit activities and military invasions, the Israel has more proportion of land now as compare to Palestine owing to employing the gadget of war knack.


For realization of this rationale, many wars have been waged for the recognition of Israel. The peace treaties from David camp summit to Oslo have been brokered to reduce the tensions in the region. The solo purpose is ‘recognition of Israel’ by the world and particularly the Arab countries in the Middle East to thaw the congeal relationship. Due to six days war alone, the sacred land has been divided into jigsaw pieces i.e. West Bank, Gaza strip; East Jerusalem; Golan Heights; Sinai Peninsula and Suez Canal. The Gaza strip and West Bank has been invaded by Jordan and Egypt respectively.


According to Pew’s report, it has been stated due to ‘intractable conflict ‘between Israel and Palestine it has been witnessed, the annual regional trade sharply reduced to 20% only from 85%. The few Arab countries have not yet recognized it. To free themselves from the shackles and undo desecration of land various paramilitary and freedom parties emerged to recognized their status I.e. PLO, PA, Hamas etc. These unresolved conflicts breaded many problems from the refugees, water resources, freely movement of goods across the region, oppression and tyranny. The aforementioned conflicts are detrimental to the sector of tourism “which is the major resource of revenue after embedded resources of oil and gas in the region”.


The other countries of Middle East for instance Egypt; Syria; Iraq; Iran and Jordan are not immune from the repercussions of war-torn region where the peace came in the silver lining during the tenure of armistices. Due to concurrent interlude of wars, the people of Palestine in their own countries are living as refugees and major of population flew to other neighboring countries. Expect, Egypt none of them have flexion their policies to give them status. They nor even allowed to lead normal lives to partake in the education, political and economical activities. Hence, they are leading desperate and miserable lives.


According to UNHCR, organization annually provide the aid and assistance to the host countries for refugees but most of the time , it is not dispersed on time and reached to them ‘once in a blue moon’. Thus, the futile attempt made by the UNO to lessen the miseries for the people of Palestine is considered as jest. According to the perception of people of Palestine ‘they became alien in their own land’ and unable to lead the life with the principle of ‘self-determination’.


These agonies of ’ism’ are between hard and rock, for instance: terrorism, fundamentalism and sectarianism, consequently, breeding other problems. The international organizations: Amnesty International; UNHCR and UNO are vanguard, therefore, has much role to play to redress their actions and for the protection of rights of Palestine for the settlements and land. This cannot be possible until USA will not reduced inclination and prejudice towards ‘Israel- a blue eyed boy’.
